Biography.
I was born and raised on the Swedish countryside. Photography was a hobby that later evolved into a profession.
In my late teens I moved to Stockholm and started out as a photo assistant to a well known photographer and then worked as a commercial portrait and model photographer for a couple of years.
Having my work published in magazines, seeing it on paper stands, on billboards and in the subway was a huge feeling of self accomplishment.
Working with a lot of different people, celebrities and artists, hearing their stories and taking their pictures was truly a great experience.
When I left Stockholm I travelled for a bit. Australia and Europe before I returned to my home town, Nyköping.
Growing up in the forest with nature right at my doorstep has always been a big source inspiration for me. I prefer to shoot outdoors rather than in a studio.
Nowadays I only do photography as a hobby. No comissions, deadlines or stress. Only my own recreational ideas and projects.
I am still always on the lookout for new inspiration and faces to collaborate with.
Photography.
I shoot portraits, mostly working with female models, in nature.
Anyone who scroll through my portfolio will see the pattern.
I think everyone should stand in front of a camera at some point of their life. We grow old, pictures does not.
Photography is a great way to preserve oneself.
Pressing the shutter is like pressing the save button in a sense.
When old age comes, we can look back, remember and rejoice.
That is what inspires and drives me I guess.
